Help & Tutorials

Everything you need to know about using the funeralsheets.co.uk portal

1Getting Started

Welcome to the funeralsheets.co.uk ordering portal. This system allows you to design and order funeral service sheets online, with live preview and direct-to-print PDF generation.

First time? Start by completing your Profile — add your company name, delivery address and logo. This information appears on your orders automatically.

Then click New Order to begin designing your first service sheet.

2Choosing a Template

We offer 8 professionally designed templates (SK001–SK008), each with a unique style ranging from traditional to contemporary.

Click any template thumbnail in the Template panel to select it. The Live Preview updates instantly so you can see exactly how your finished sheet will look.

Each template supports 4pp (single fold), 8pp (double fold) and 8pp+Collage (double fold with photo collage page) formats.

3Using the Page Builder

The Page Builder is where you construct the inside pages of the service sheet. Use the Front, Inside and Back tabs to switch between pages.

Adding content blocks:

  • + Block — Add a text block with heading and body text. Choose from multiple fonts, sizes and colours.
  • + Photo — Insert a photograph. Upload a JPG or PNG and it will be placed in the layout.
  • + Hymn — Add a hymn or reading with formatted verse layout.
  • + Collage — Add a photo collage grid (available in 8pp+Collage mode).
  • + Line — Insert a decorative divider line.
  • + Space — Add vertical spacing between blocks.
  • + Logo — Insert your company logo (uploaded via Profile).

Use the arrow buttons to reorder blocks, and the × button to remove them. All changes appear in the Live Preview in real time.

4Cover Photo & Heading

The Cover Photo section lets you upload a portrait photograph of the deceased. Click Upload and select a JPG or PNG image.

For best results, use a high-resolution photo (at least 300dpi at print size). The image will be automatically cropped to fit the template frame.

The Cover Heading dropdown lets you choose from standard wordings such as "In Loving Memory of", "Celebrating the Life of", or select "None" for no heading.

5Placing an Order

When your design is complete:

  1. Select a Quantity from the dropdown (10–500 copies).
  2. Enter the Name of Deceased — this is used as the order reference.
  3. Optionally add a Discount Code and click Apply.
  4. Add any Notes for the print team (e.g. delivery instructions).
  5. Click Place Order to proceed to secure payment via Stripe.

After payment, your order appears in the Orders dashboard and we begin production immediately.

Pricing: Shown including delivery, with no VAT. Covers printed on 350gsm silk, inners on 170gsm silk, A5 finished size.

6Managing Orders

The Orders dashboard shows all your orders with status tracking:

  • New — Order received, awaiting production
  • Printing — Currently in production
  • Complete — Printed and dispatched

The top summary cards show counts at a glance. Orders are listed in reverse chronological order.

7Your Profile

Keep your profile up to date to ensure smooth ordering:

  • Company details — Your business name, contact name, email and phone.
  • Logo — Upload your company logo (used when you add a Logo block in the page builder).
  • Delivery address — Where orders will be shipped.
  • Billing address — Tick "Same as delivery" or enter a separate billing address.

Click Save after making changes. You will see a green "Saved" confirmation.

8Preview & Bleed/Safe Zone

The Live Preview panel shows your design exactly as it will print. Use the zoom controls (− / +) at the bottom to adjust the view.

Toggle Bleed to see the 3mm bleed area — content here may be trimmed during finishing. Toggle Safe Zone to see the safe area where all important text and images should sit.

Use the Front / Inside / Back tabs below the preview to check each page.

9Tips for Best Results
  • Use high-resolution photos (300dpi+) for sharp print quality.
  • Keep important content within the Safe Zone boundary.
  • Check all pages in the preview before placing your order.
  • Use the font and colour controls on each block to match the family's preferences.
  • Proofread carefully — names, dates and spellings. Once an order is placed and enters production, changes may not be possible.
